1. Information We Collect
MP3Tiger is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data to operate the service:
- Anonymous request logs (partial IP address, timestamp, conversion success/fail status) used for debugging and abuse prevention
- Standard web server logs (browser type, referring URL, pages visited)
- Aggregate analytics data through Google Analytics (page views, session duration, country)
We do NOT collect: personal names, email addresses, account credentials, payment information, or the full content of SoundCloud URLs you submit.
2. How We Use Data
Collected data is used solely for: maintaining service stability, debugging extraction errors, detecting abuse and rate limiting, and understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve the service.
3. Data Storage & Retention
Audio files are never stored on our servers. MP3Tiger extracts the direct CDN URL from SoundCloud and the file is downloaded by your browser directly from SoundCloud's servers. Request logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days before being automatically deleted.
4. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for the site to function (session management). We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. No advertising or user-tracking cookies are placed. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core site functionality.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — aggregate traffic analysis
- Google AdSense — advertising (when enabled)
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
- SoundCloud CDN — audio file delivery
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
MP3Tiger is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data and do not link it to identifiable individuals, most requests can be satisfied by clearing your browser cookies and cache. For specific requests, contact us below.
